Magical Caterpillar? and gothic city

Here is another for my digital ink and paint class, I was going for a dragon but it looks more like the magical caterpillar. My class loved it, they are really into cute monsters with girls riding their back cain of thing. 

I also finish this color city, well actually is not finish it still needs a lot of details but is almost there.

Final Witchcraft in black and white, ohh and by the way I won!!!

Hey everyone here is the final file for "Witchcraft in Black and white" I decided to delete the feet all together, it just didn't feel right that's all. I also added some branches and a nice long dress looks so much better now. It also won the first place at The Art Institute of Washington at the 2008 student art show, so I guess they like the changes too. I will be posting other digital paintings later.

Last homework for my digital ink and paint class. Inspired by Illustrations of Gerald Brom, it took me 8 hours to complete. I know that because I didn't slept the whole night. I feel like a zombie -_- Even thought, I still feel like it needs some work in the hands and specially the feet.

Bizarre Head in Maya

Last render crated Maya 8.5. Its the beginning of an Illustration Im planning. I was inspire by Ray Caesar's Illustrations, and I manage to make that disgusting skin he is so famous for. I was going to post the original sketches. However after this render my ideas for the original concept have changed and I'm back to the sketching board.

FOOD BABY!!!!

I love Mark Jenkins sculptures so I decided to make my own. My friends named him Food baby!!! and he blended very fast in our group. To be honest, if it's a boy I prefer to call him Madison. 

  

New posters.

Hi everyone. New posters for all of you. The first one is an illustration done by hand and painted in illustrator. Inspire by illustrations from Kozy and Dan it was a friends birthday gift. The second was an historical poster for the Art Institute of Washington. I love robots so this was insanely fun to do, I got a lot of Ideas from Ashley wood's Illustrations. It was done in 3D using Maya 8.5 and compose in Adobe Photoshop.

My name is Leonel Alvarez and I'm a graphic designer and Animator, and for many years my art and designs have been known only by a small group of friends and family.
